TOWN HALL \ Café

The Café is the Town Hall’s engine room, it’s where all our Town Hall users go for their daily caffeine fix, quick snack, or hearty lunch. We also cater for events, meetings and celebrations.

Open to everyone, our Café offers a light and bright contemporary space with a large adjoining courtyard area – a real sun trap in the summer months! The Café offers a range of delicious breakfasts, hot and cold lunches, drinks, snacks, and ice cream, as well as a range of delicious homemade cakes.

We offer step-free access to our Café, gender-neutral and accessible toilets, baby-changing, and free wi-fi for all our customers. The Café menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and our main menu recipes are nut-free.

The Town Hall Café can provide catering for your event

We can cater for events large and small, from coffee and cake for small gatherings to a buffet and bar for up to 120 people for a wedding reception or special occasion. We source ingredients directly from local suppliers and make meals from scratch in our onsite kitchen.

We also handmake cakes to order - perfect for your special celebration! Plus, with a fully-stocked bar featuring beers and ales from local breweries, the Town Hall has everything to make an event truly special.

The Town Hall Café space and Courtyard can be used for events

Some of our regular community users include Andy’s Man Club, Slimming World, Calder Valley Women Singers, WEA writing groups, and Hebden Bridge WI. Organisations that regularly use the building include Welcome To Yorkshire, Pennine Prospects, and Locality.

If you are planning a community event or wish to use our rooms, the Café or Courtyard in a creative or unusual way, get in touch with our Events Coordinator.

When hiring the Waterfront Hall, you may use the Café space and courtyard for your event or celebration free of charge outside of the Café opening hours.
